Product details
More battery storage for UK homes with existing compatible solar systems.
Wrenstead Store 2 is a 2.048kWh home battery storage kit designed for UK households that already have compatible solar equipment and want greater storage capacity than the Wrenstead Store 1 starter system.
The system combines one H1600 Smart Solar Hub with two heated L1024 LiFePO4 battery modules, providing 2.048kWh of total nominal battery storage.
It supports compatible solar charging, app monitoring, configurable energy schedules and supported AC/grid charging arrangements.
2.048kWh Battery Storage for Existing Solar Homes
Solar generation and household electricity consumption do not always happen at the same time.
During daylight hours, your solar panels may generate electricity when household demand is relatively low. With a compatible battery storage arrangement, available solar energy can be stored for later use.
Wrenstead Store 2 provides twice the nominal battery capacity of Store 1, offering a practical step up for households that want more stored energy available during their preferred periods.
The UK configuration includes two batteries with automatic low-temperature heating to support charging under colder conditions.
Store 2 is a battery storage expansion kit, not a complete solar generation system.
Compatibility with existing solar panels, inverter or microinverter equipment and electrical connections must be confirmed before purchase.
What's Included in Wrenstead Store 2?
Each Wrenstead Store 2 kit includes the following core components:
- 1 × H1600 Smart Solar Hub — energy management controller for compatible solar and battery storage configurations.
- 2 × L1024HOT Heated LiFePO4 Battery Modules — each providing 1.024kWh of nominal storage, with integrated low-temperature battery heating.
Total nominal battery capacity: 2.048kWh.
The Smart Solar Hub and both heated battery modules are supplied in neutral, unbranded hardware versions. They form part of the Wrenstead Store 2 system.
What Is Not Included?
- Solar panels
- Microinverter or additional inverter
- Solar panel mounting brackets or roof-fixing equipment
- Professional electrical installation services
- Additional battery modules beyond the two included batteries
Important: Store 2 is intended for households with existing compatible solar equipment. Additional connection equipment or installation work may be required depending on the property and current solar setup.
Supplied connection accessories and packaging contents should be checked against the final product packing list.

Low-Temperature Battery Heating
Wrenstead Store 2 includes two heated L1024HOT battery modules designed to support battery charging in colder conditions.
When a suitable external charging source is connected, the battery heating system responds automatically according to battery temperature.
How Low-Temperature Heating Works
- Below 5°C: The heating function activates when the applicable external charging source is available.
- Below 0°C: External input power is used to warm the battery cells before charging. The cells are not charged below 0°C.
- At or above 0°C: Battery charging may begin while heating continues, subject to normal charging conditions.
- At approximately 10°C: The heating function stops.
This process helps warm the battery cells before charging when their temperature is below the permitted charging range.
Heating Power and Energy Source
Each L1024HOT battery module uses approximately 95W of heating power when active.
For Store 2, total heating power is approximately 190W when both battery modules require heating simultaneously.
Heating uses power from a connected suitable external charging source. It does not activate independently without an available external supply.
| Heating Starts | Below 5°C battery temperature |
| Charging Permitted | From 0°C, subject to charging conditions |
| Heating and Charging | May operate simultaneously above 0°C until the heating stop temperature is reached |
| Heating Stops | Approximately 10°C |
| Heating Power per Battery | Approximately 95W |
| Total Heating Power | Approximately 190W when both modules are heating |
| Energy Source | Suitable connected external charging supply |
Important: The -20°C discharge temperature limit is not the minimum battery charging temperature. Battery charging is permitted from 0°C. Below this temperature, suitable external input power must first warm the cells before charging begins.
Why Choose Wrenstead Store 2?
Store 2 is designed for households that want more battery capacity without immediately moving to a substantially larger storage system.
- 2.048kWh total nominal battery storage from two heated L1024HOT battery modules
- Twice the battery capacity of Wrenstead Store 1
- Automatic low-temperature battery heating
- Approximately 190W combined heating power when both battery modules require heating

Generate. Store. Schedule.
Wrenstead Store 2 supports a simple energy-management journey.
Generate: Produce electricity using your existing compatible solar panels.
Store: Store available solar energy in the two heated 1.024kWh battery modules.
Schedule: Configure charging and energy-delivery periods around your household routine.
Actual energy flow and operation depend on the connected equipment and supported system configuration.
Solar Charging, Grid Charging & App Scheduling
Solar Charging and Grid Charging
The H1600 Smart Solar Hub supports compatible solar charging and AC/grid charging in supported connection arrangements.
This means Store 2 is not necessarily limited to solar generation as its only charging source. The correct connection arrangement must be confirmed for the property and equipment.
Households using electricity plans with different rates at different times of day can manually configure charging and energy-delivery periods according to their requirements.
The system does not automatically retrieve or follow live UK electricity tariffs.
Users configure their own time periods rather than relying on automatic tariff-price detection.
App Monitoring and Energy Scheduling
The H1600 Smart Solar Hub supports app-based monitoring and energy management.
- Monitor available system information
- Review battery and energy-flow information where supported
- Configure up to 10 time periods per day
- Set different weekday and weekend schedules
- Manage supported charging and energy-delivery settings
- Configure compatible AC/grid charging arrangements
Available functions depend on the connected equipment, firmware version and supported system configuration.

Compatibility & Installation
Already Have Solar Panels?
Wrenstead Store 2 is intended primarily for households that already have a compatible solar installation and want to add greater battery storage capacity.
However, having solar panels installed does not automatically make an existing system compatible with the H1600 Smart Solar Hub.
Compatibility depends on the existing solar panels, inverter or microinverter, electrical configuration and intended connection arrangement.

Check Compatibility Before Ordering
Before purchasing Store 2, please check your existing solar system information.
- Solar panel manufacturer and model
- Number of installed solar panels
- Power rating of each solar panel
- Existing inverter or microinverter make and model
- Available voltage and current information
- Current electrical configuration
- Photographs of existing equipment labels where available
These details help identify whether Store 2 is suitable for the current installation and what additional connection requirements may apply.

Installation and Connection
Wrenstead Store 2 is electrical energy-storage equipment and should not be treated as a universal plug-and-play solution for every UK property.
The correct installation and connection method depends on the existing solar equipment, electrical configuration and applicable requirements.
Compatibility and installation requirements should be confirmed before the system is connected.
