Terms of service
These terms apply when a consumer buys goods from shop.grasen.com, the GRASEN online store. Contact customer support at contact@grasen.com.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights.
Online store terms
By using this site, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a contract. You must not use the site or its products for an unlawful or unauthorised purpose, transmit malicious code, interfere with the service, or infringe the rights of GRASEN or another person.
Products and compatibility
We take reasonable care to describe products accurately. Images are illustrative and screen colours may vary. Packaging may change without affecting a product's essential characteristics.
EV charging compatibility depends on the vehicle, connector, electrical supply, socket, phase, current rating, installation and intended use. Read the stated specifications and safety information and provide accurate vehicle and supply details when requesting guidance. Compatibility guidance is based on the information available to us and does not replace the vehicle manufacturer's instructions or work that must be performed by an appropriately qualified person.
We may make minor changes required by law or safety standards that do not materially affect the product. If a material change is required before dispatch, we will contact you and provide the options required by law.
Orders and contract formation
The product listing and checkout invite you to place an order. You place an order by completing checkout. We will send an acknowledgement, but acceptance normally occurs when we send dispatch confirmation. If we cannot accept an order, we will tell you and refund any payment taken.
Review the product, quantity, total price, delivery charge, tax or import-charge treatment and delivery address before submitting the order. The contract language is English.
Prices and payment
Prices, delivery charges and any tax collected by GRASEN are shown before the order is submitted. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment authorisation may be subject to checks by Shopify, Oceanpayment, card networks, banks or other payment providers involved in the transaction.
If a clear pricing error occurs and could reasonably have been recognised as an error, we may contact you before acceptance to offer the correct price or cancel and refund the order.
Delivery, ownership and risk
Delivery areas, charges and estimated times are set out in the Shipping Policy. Unless otherwise agreed, delivery will take place without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made.
Risk remains with us until you, or a person you identify other than the carrier, takes physical possession. If you independently commission a carrier not offered by us, risk may pass when the goods are delivered to that carrier as the law provides. Ownership passes when we have received full payment and delivery has occurred.
Cancellation, returns and refunds
Cancellation and return rights are explained in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. A request made within 15 minutes of placing an order will be prioritised in an attempt to stop dispatch, but this operational window does not limit statutory cancellation rights.
Faulty goods and warranty
We are responsible for supplying goods that conform to the contract. Statutory remedies apply when goods are faulty, not fit for purpose or not as described. Any commercial warranty shown on a product page is additional to those rights.
Safe use
Use products only within their published ratings and instructions. Do not use damaged products, improvise connections or bypass protection devices. Any work that legally or safely requires a qualified person must be performed by an appropriately qualified installer.
Third-party services and links
Parts of the store, checkout and payment process are provided by third parties, including Shopify and Oceanpayment. Third-party links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for an independent third-party website, but this does not limit our responsibility for the goods or services that we sell to you.
Our responsibility to consumers
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, or defective products under applicable product-liability law.
Products are supplied for private consumer use. We are not responsible under these consumer terms for business losses such as lost profits, lost business, interruption or opportunity.
Events outside reasonable control
If an event outside our reasonable control delays performance, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take steps to reduce the effect. Statutory rights concerning delayed delivery remain available.
Personal information
We use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice.
Changes and severability
The terms that apply are those presented when the order is placed, except where a change is required by law and lawfully applies to an existing contract. If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the remaining parts continue to apply.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, but if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in your local courts. Contact contact@grasen.com first so we can try to resolve a complaint.
